Once, the skill of making dolls was passed down from grandmothers to granddaughters, from mothers to daughters, from older sisters to younger ones.

Modern mothers and grandmothers happily discover the folk doll and the traditions associated with it.

In Women’s Club sessions for IDPs, girls create an ethnographic doll—not always perfect or beautiful as seen in souvenir shops, but always warm and alive, a true one. The variety of techniques, constructions, and materials is impressive, leaving room for the embodiment of personal ideas.

Whether a toy for a familiar girl, a souvenir gift, or a personal charm, each doll, undoubtedly, provides an opportunity to relax and unwind in a pleasant and creative atmosphere. The creation of folk dolls is part of the “Support Program for Women-IDPs ‘SOS Women,'” implemented by the charitable foundation “SOS Civil Defense Headquarters,” supported by the international fund “Revival,” and the EU.
