Older people feel the most confused and powerless. Many of these people have lost everything they have gained throughout their lives. They have lost contact with their loved ones and have been separated from their families for an indefinite period of time.  

 To help them cope with the difficult challenges, the SOS Civil Defense Headquarters organized cycles of psychological training. Women and men learn self-help techniques, communicate on painful topics, and meet new friends. 

 These trainings are conducted by gerontopsychologists – psychologists who understand the problems and needs of older people.

We congratulate our specialists who have been acquiring new knowledge and mastering practical skills for 5 months to help those who need it most. We are pleased that teachers from Kamianets-Podilskyi National University and Kamianets-Podilskyi State Institute took part in the training. They have not only acquired new qualifications themselves, but will also pass on the knowledge to their students. In this way gerontopsychology in Ukraine will be developed.
