Wax crayons, an iron, and a little time – and you have a magical work that cannot be repeated.

It was this drawing technique that the participants of the Children of War project learned thanks to Kyrylo Budniakov at the Kamianets-Podilskyi State Institute, a higher education institution.

Everyone was able to pick up an iron and create their own magical world on a piece of paper.  This technique has found new admirers among our children, and everyone has an iron at home, so together with the children, the art of encaustic will spread to many cities and villages of Ukraine.

The “Children of War” project is implemented by the SOS Civil Defense Headquarters charitable foundation thanks to a grant from the Children’s Resilience Fund in Ukraine, with financial support from the UBS Optimus Foundation. The program is implemented by Crown Agents International Development (CAID) and UBS Optimus Foundation in partnership with @CrownAgentsinUA.
