Being a teenager is never easy. It is even more so now.  We, as adults, must do everything we can to make our children’s childhood as happy as possible, even in times of war.

It is important to give children the opportunity to do what they love, not to postpone sports, songs and dances until after the war. Their childhood is going on right now. Today, their future is being shaped, their direction for the rest of their lives is being laid.

Adults are responsible for ensuring that children grow up strong, confident and happy, and that they do not carry the trauma of war into adulthood.

If you notice that your child’s behavior has changed, that he or she does not sleep well or, on the contrary, sleeps too much, has become aggressive or indifferent to the things he or she used to like. If anything makes you think that something is wrong with your child, don’t hesitate! Consult a psychologist – it’s always easier to nip a problem in the bud.

If you yourself are constantly feeling insecure, powerless, despairing, or if your sleep or appetite is disturbed, do not hesitate to seek help. You need to be a reliable support for your child under any circumstances.

The SOS Psychology project was created to support adults and children. To help them have the tools to cope with stress, master self-healing techniques, and remain resilient and strong in times of war.
