At first glance, they are just children, just dressed in costumes, just in a fortress. And then their posture, gaze, and gait change before our eyes. And we no longer see boys and girls, participants of the «Children of War» project, but little princes and princesses, knights and elves, a mysterious monk and a majestic queen.
Such a transformation is only possible in Kamianets-Podilskyi. After all, the city itself is a magical setting for an incredible adventure. The ancient fortress walls, majestic architecture, and the atmosphere of history transport everyone to the world of the Middle Ages.
For almost three years, the «Children of War» project team has been proving that it is possible to return childhood to children even in times of war. More than 3,000 children from 10 regions, mostly located along the front line, have already participated in our rehabilitation and recovery program. In addition to the psychological rehabilitation program, the children will take part in walks, excursions, sports activities and creative workshops.
And regardless of their age, all children dream of being in a fairy tale for at least a short time. Within the framework of our project, even this is possible.
