They have been coping with their troubles on their own for years. People with disabilities, the elderly and people in difficult life circumstances.

Some of them have faced more than one disaster – the war forced them to seek refuge in a foreign country.

The SOS-Care project team, together with representatives of the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council, Dovzhok village council, and representatives of the public and medical utilities, visited vulnerable people to determine their urgent needs. Some of these people will benefit from the provision of medical care equipment, while others live in a house without amenities or in a building that needs urgent repairs.

Something was done immediately to make life easier for these people. Mowers mowed the grass in the yards to make it safe to walk around. Hairdressers cut the hair of those who could not get to a hairdresser’s on their own. The project team provided diapers that will simplify the care of bedridden patients and make their lives at least a little more comfortable.

The problems of these people are often hard to see, because their lives are behind closed doors. But together we can do much more than we think.

Residents of the Kamianets-Podilskyi community who need help can become participants in the SOS-Care project. For more information, please contact 0673844344.
