Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society teach children how to cope with stress and take care of themselves. These children live in a war zone. Air raids and the threat of shelling are a constant part of their lives, something they are used to ignoring. Here, in Kamyanets-Podilsky, adults are doing everything they can to help children’s psyches recover and return to a normal, safe childhood.
Conversations, games, drawings, exercises – all techniques are aimed at healing the children’s psyche. Smiles, frank answers, sincere emotions are the biggest reward for the volunteers. Their work is not in vain – the boys and girls will return home stronger.
The project “Children of War” is implemented by the charitable foundation “SOS Civil Defense Staff” thanks to a grant from the Children’s Resilience Fund: Providing Capacity Building and Funding to Ukrainian Civil Society Organizations in Ukraine. The program is implemented by @CrownAgentsinUA and @IntegrityAction
