First and foremost, it is the people it consists of. Everyone has their own story, their own problems, their own preferences, goals, and life positions. And fate has brought them together at this particular time and place. They spend most of their time together. And together they implement projects that benefit others.
World NGO Day is celebrated annually on February 27. The «SOS Civil Defense Headquarters» charitable foundation is also one of these organizations. Not that the holiday is an ordinary day with work tasks, unforeseen problems and burning deadlines. But it is a good reason to remember who we are and why we are together.
February 27 is also International Optimist Day and International Polar Bear Day. We have not yet figured out what we have to do with bears, but we are definitely incorrigible optimists. Otherwise, the existence of our foundation would be impossible.
