On the one hand, a year is not much. On the other hand, it means hundreds of psycho-emotional support sessions for children from the frontline and de-occupied territories, dozens of first aid trainings, English classes and meetings of psychological support groups for residents of Kamyanets-Podilskyi and IDPs of all ages.
One year is a long time for young people who have recently become Red Cross volunteers. During this time, they have learned to be a support for others. Still being students, however, they easily found a common language with children and teenagers who were affected by the war. Therefore, they often participated in organizing classes for children.
The cozy and comfortable premises of the Youth Center also became a meeting place for the elderly. Some psychological support classes were held here as part of the “SOS-Psychology” project.
The cooperation between the “SOS Civil Defense Headquarters” Center and the Kamianets-Podilskyi City Organization of the Red Cross Society in Ukraine has been going on since the foundation of the charitable foundation. Since the first days of the full-scale invasion, we have supported each other with information, guided people according to their needs, helped organize events and implement projects to help as many people as possible.
Over the past year, our cooperation with the Youth Center has grown into a real friendship. Working and spending time together brings us closer.
So for us, the anniversary of the opening of the Youth Center is a real holiday. We congratulate our friends and wish them new successful endeavors and interesting projects.
